vault classics or new recordings?

if you could snap your fingers and have a new PRINCE release in stores next Tuesday, and had the following option, which would u choose?

14 selections from the vault, your choice.

or 14 new Prince tracks.

It seems like there is a general reverance for the old stuff and not much love for alot of the recent stuff... so i'm curious if, faced w/ the choice, the old would really outweigh the new.

New.

I'm interested in the guy as he is now...his life and expression of his musicianship most recently, in song.

As long as it isn't "Underneath the Cream" bullshit.

mad

I get the vault stuff elsewhere. I believe he is a better guitarist now and has a more organic, less sterile sound, so I would like to hear more of that.

If given the choice to handpick vault favorites then that is what I'd do.Not because I prefer the past work ,but I think that the longer it sits in the vault , the less likely it's chances are of being officially released.

I would choose vault classics, but if I knew for a fact that the new album would be better than TRC or even as good as TGE I might choose that...
Personally . I think we are all Boring with No Lives cause all we do is talk about Prince,Criticize and Gossip. I need a Horny Man is what I Need and probably so do most of yas. We are Sexually Frustrated what we R... Amen..!!! - zelaire

I would love a selection of 15/20 classics from the vault./...but on the same token, I would like an album of new material that is original, groundbreaking and controversial like the prince we once new. Whether its rock, funk, concert or unplugged...anything as long as its good shit!
