he was something, sometimes I wonder how would he compare to top scientists, engineers, students and scholars just on a productivity basis. You know, they have briliant students who somehow just ace everything in their paths which seems impossible, they have scientists who work very hard on things with no fanfare but I tend to assume that most of those people are still bound by normal needs of sleep, breaks, rest and it would intrude with their productivity. Prince really had none of the things that bound people from doing they're all, even when married, he wouldn't take calls from his wives, he had no kids, worked through holidays, didn't seem to sleep much. Who can match that? Who is as committed to their craft? One other thing, Students and scientists have a lot of help when they excel, Prince didn't always have that, he was pretty much self-contained at least in terms of keeping his operation running. There were no grants, no employers or scholarships to assist him in times of need, he only knew one thing, keep working. How he did it, i'll never know. I used to burn myself out trying to be like I read him being but , i'm pretty much a failure as a musician. There really was only one like him.
