Saw her live during the Celebration at the Dakota Jazz Club and just recently again in my home town. Morgan never disappoints is super talented and oh yeah incredibly hot too! The greatest live performer of our times was is and always will be Prince.

i saw her too that night. great voice, but i find it soul "less" and more of play acting soul. i think she would be great in a Disney production tho, she has worked hard on sounding the part but i don't feel any pain that relates thru the singing for me. best.

Soul-less? Are we talking about the same singer? I can name plenty of soul-less singers but Morgan aint one of them. I'd suggest you try again The greatest live performer of our times was is and always will be Prince.

Morgan James is a great singer who covered "Call My Name" with Prince's full blessing. She also does a pretty good cover of D'Angelo and the Vanguard's complete Black Messiah--not as funky as the D'Angelo original but it's got soul, plus the lyric enunciation that doesn't come off as well in D's noise-saturated recording and fully acoustic accompanyment that brings the bluesy feel upfront and distinguishes it as a nice counterpart to the original excellent piece of work.

A friend just shared this with me. I quite like it. On the same Hunter album she covered "Dancing In The Dark" by Bruce Springsteen. Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking.
