Bonus tracks on official albums Hi there,
Recently I`ve been busy combining my e-archive of Prince albums
After copying it to iPhone I have decided to give a listen to each a every Prince \ Artist albums.
Started with 'For you" album.
Imagine my susrprise that after "I`m yours" another tracks started playing 1) For You 1:08 2) In Love 3:37 3) Soft And Wet 3:03 4) Crazy You 2:16 5) Just As Long As We're Together 6:24 6) Baby 3:10 7) My Love Is Forever 4:10 8) So Blue 4:28 9) I'm Yours 5:01 10)Make It Through the Storm (bonustrack) 2:42 11)Just Another Sucker (bonustrack) 5:19 12)Soft and Wet (1976 demo) (bonustrack) 3:18 13)Soft and Wet (1977 demo) (bonustrack) 3:01 14)Just as Long as We're Together (1977 demo) (bonustrack) 5:43 15)We Can Work It Out (bonustrack) 2:59
My questions in respect are the following:
- is this the legit tracks or just mislabelled staff from othe sessions? To my ears it sounds from the same era + Prince performance (yes, I`ve used search button on prince.orf and princevault does not help)4 - what are the other albums and tracks I might be looking for?
Thanks in advance for everybody help )))
Mods: I am not asking where to find or how to conbstruct the search. I`m trying to figure out titles of the tracks

Check out Princevault for album and studio session details. " Many of the songs (For You, Soft And Wet, Just As Long As We're Together, Baby My Love Is Forever and I'm Yours) had been demoed by Prince as home recordings or early studio recordings in 1976 and 1977. These tracks were all re-recorded for the album, when In Love, Crazy You and So Blue were also recorded. ...
"An early configuration of the album contains a different sequence and including the unreleased tracks Make It Through The Storm (here titled We'll Make It Through The Storm) and Amber Eyes. Some of the versions included vary in timing from the released album, and the unreleased sequence is listed below (although minor discrepancies do not necessarily indicate a different version of the song was used, and may simply reflect a difference in silence at the beginning or end of a track)." .--Princevault [Edited 6/4/17 11:42am] "Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything." --Plato

That is a reliable source unless you own The Vault by Per Nilson. But there are Prince-o-philes here that may be able to help with more info. [Edited 6/4/17 11:46am] "Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything." --Plato

Discogs has the track listings for the Japanese vinyl from 1984 and it is the same as the original U.S. version. [Edited 6/4/17 12:00pm] "Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything." --Plato

My website (link below) and Princevault, despite a few bits in need of a correction here and there on both websites, contain all the existing, available information regarding official releases: if it ain't on either site, you can be 99,9% sure that it was never officially released, anywhere, in any form whatsoever. And the 0,01% left could only be something like a promo 12'' with a rare remix, of which 100 copies were pressed, or some South-African or Portuguese 20 seconds shorter edit of a single back in the early 80's, stuff like that. Certainly not anything such as 6 outtakes. . Those tracks you mention have been circulating for 22 years, in excellent sound quality, and are indeed more or less from the For You era (For You sessions or the sessions that came directly before the proper FY sessions began). How your iPhone had managed to connect those bootlegs to the album is probably a matter of tags (the boot files were most likely labeled as For You bonus tracks/outtakes or something). The only exception here is Just Another Sucker, which was originally recorded long before For You, then remixed and released in 1986 as a 94 East recording, without Prince's approval, and often ended on bootlegs despite its official status (just to fill-in CD space). . There are no other "bonus" tracks or albums to be looked for in any official format (but there's enough official material to keep you hunting for the next 10 years if you're a real completist). On the other hand, there are hundreds of outtakes are available on bootlegs, similar to those you've mentioned. . Case closed.
