The Voice did 2 Prince songs tonight Prior to this year no contestant has ever sung a Prince song on The Voice. Tonight they did 2. Alicia did a duet of Diamonds and Pearls with her contestant. I thought it was awful. Adam Levine did a duet of Let's Go Cray with his. It was pretty much karaoke but not butchered like D&P. At least Jesse has some connection to Prince and is from Minneapolis. Plus he is a decent guitar player...though the show is called The Voice. 🤔 Paisley Park is in your heart

Funny that while I was reading this thread in my living room, I suddenly heard Diamands and Pearls booming out of my bedroom. My partner had DVR'd the show and was playing it back. I actually thought it was Alicia's weak vocals that brought the song down. She just doesn't seem to have the vocal range that she used to. I am going to run back into the room when LGC comes on |
