For me it all depends on who is officially involved. I honestly don't feel Prince has had a proper tribute. There's been a lot of one offs (Sheila, Bruno Mars, Lenny Kravitz etc.) but not one big concert with big names. What's sad is all these one offs have given people tribute fatigue yet I still feel something was/is missing. 😔

Londell needs to sit the fuck down. If he's officially involved in helping sort out legal matters, then fucking do it. But stop with all the goddamn tributes this and tributes that. The NPG and the Revolution are both touring. Andre is with the NPG, Stokley is working The Revolution, what's he going to do? Call Gayle Chapman and Greg Brooks to do a gig? Or how about Wally Safford grunting out crowd call n' answers while Rentao plays only chords with 9ths and suspended 4ths?

You live in Chanhassen.

Did you go see the Revolution at First Avenue?

Did you go to the Prince Tribute?

Did you go to the Celebration?

Did you go to Paisley Park for your own Tribute to Prince?

What is a proper Tribute?

Are you going to go to this Lonny I Need More Money Tribute?

How many Tributes do you think Prince needs?

How many Tributes does Lonny think Prince needs? Until the well runs dry?

Isn't the whole debacle with UMG his fault? If so, why hasn't he been fired?!?

The Judge removed him as the Personal Representative to the Estate.

Lonny is now an "advisor" to Sharon, Norrine, and John Nelson.

And that right there is where the problem is. The elders want nothing more than to cash out. They are too old to give a crap about the legacy. They want money and they want it right now. And so does that shyster advising them lol

These are great questions. Rogifan, I may have missed it but have you attended anything done in P's honor since you are right there? I can't recall seeing a recap from you, but I may have missed it.

Yes I have attended some of the events in Minneapolis. All of that is fine and good. I was more referring to what they did for Freddy Mercury that includes big names in music not just Rev or NPG band members. I'm not specifically endorsing anything Londell is doing. I doubt he'd be able to pull of an event with big names.

Freddie's Tribute was also for AIDS Awareness and all the proceeds went to AIDS research.

I believe the Tribute was held shortly after his passing.

The Court documents filed by Jobu suggest they were told Prince's Tribute was for charity and that is

how they were able to get big names to agree to participate but then the Tribute fell

through when Jobu learned that the proceeds were not going to charity.

Lol, I'm sure if we ask Londell he'll spin a good yarn about it nod

I wonder if EB will write slave on his cheek and if M2 knows any of M1's old 1990s dance moves to do so they can capture that era's vibe in full.

I get that. The best, most organized tribute for a deceased artist was for Freddie Mecury. A long time ago, i know the world has changed. I don't know who the heck organised that tribute but I do know Prince's camp hasn't got anyone on the books capable of remotely coming close. So yeah. that's a challenge to them I suppose.
