Prince's alleged pill use-it makes sense I remember the first time I heard the Do Anything Demos and heard the song "My Little Pill"
I thought this was a tell tale sign that prince was delving into Pills. Eventhough some wrote it off and tried to tell me "its for the movie" I did not go for that. Even then I said "Something is up cuz this song is too odd." ~I just cant go for that no I just can't go for that But if you really think about it... He told us in his own little way. And then he released it on "The vault" I always liked that song. I wish it had a extended version. I like it's offkilter melody and time signature. He probably popped the pills in his microphone gun. He probably pulls the trigger and out shoots a percodan bullet when the New power fam wasn't looking. Not that I blame him though. He suffered a leg injury on stage and those suckers are addictive. So says Liza Minelli What's a single woman with no real man 2 do? Tryin' 2 raise your kid when he couldn't give a damn about U All my cares and troubles dive right off my window sill Everytime I pop my little pill A pixie does my laundry and the universe my will All my cares and troubles dive right off my window sill All my cares and troubles dive right off my window sill Everytime I pop my little pill | |

You know, now that I think about it, do you think maybe when he did that song Electric Chair for the Batman soundtrack he really wanted to be executed in that manner?
...and The Future. Do you think maybe he really DID see the future and that it really WILL be? I think we need to reexamine all his music again. Maybe we're not reading enough into things? | |

Jeeez. Someone writes that Prince ALLEGEDLY tried Ecstacy ONCE, and people make him into Courtney Love. So he experimented! He's an experimental guy. I seriously doubt that he made a habit of it, if indeed he even went back for seconds - he seems like too much of a control freak to enjoy mind-altering substances on a regular basis. Speculation, of course - but I just don't see the guy as a pillhead. Why?
Exhibit A: Michael Jackson. | |

Then that means he really raped that girl in the back of the cab in Lady Cabdriver. | |

All Trickology said was that it made sense now..that Prince felt a little piece of himself be known in a song althopugh veiled of his own personal thoughts on pills. If it wasn't for Trickology, and a few others, Prince would not have toured for TRC last year. Be cool. "Climb in my fur." | |

How so? Who's Trickology? He got Foley recognized etc...an his blatant review of TRC inspired you know who to get his ass up and tour with it instead of just blwouing TRC off as he might have done etc..its complex but just trust me on this. Ill explain more in a bit. "Climb in my fur." | |

--- Has it occurred to you that if Prince was poping Percocerts it may have been due to injury to his ankle. I had surgery and had prescription for the stuff and I threw it away as soon as the recovery time was over. The stuff is very addictive. He is not the first person to get hooked on a pain killer | |

I'm not as willing to say that 5-10 people posting stuff on the internet were that influential. TRC was critically acclaimed by most music reviewers, some of whom imagined what it would be like live... then there's Prince's own circle--a bit of an indiscriminating bunch that will probably say "go with it" if they think that's what he wants to hear... so this one may just be the fluke time that having yes men worked (the way he bullied his staff into yes men'ning Purple Rain the movie). Then there are others. I'm not saying folks like Hass don't usually have insightful commentary on Prince's music; I'm just putting it in perspective. Maybe this time he didnt care what the critics said regardless of praise but went to the common man since this was sort of personal for him and he wanted that everyman feedback. I wholeheartdly believe this is what happened. It only "seems" crazy or like a stretch. It si plain and obvious that he listenszs or has foplks read up on certain things and th e current zeitgeist..hell..we were creamin for Whole Lotta Love and Something In The Water and critic all year long before and bam..what does he end up playing the following year etc?
