I ain't cuttin' ya any slack on that last one! haha You'd be pulling "Ventura Highway" into this as well if we let ya. The "diamonds and pearls" reference is an old one in music.

And regarding the "Shoop" reference, that part "Like Prince said you a sexy ...." was resung in some of remixes on The Beautiful Experience, if memory serve.

Mutya Buena who was a member of the group Sugababes did a great track with Groove Armada titled "Song 4 Mutya (Out of Control)" , which includes the line "I got Prince singin' 'Hot Thing' to me ,I know every line"

She actually performed this song at the O2 Arena when she supported Prince in 2007 , i think i was the only one in the arena who knew the song and when she sang that line i "woohoo'd" and it was nice to get an acknowledged wink from Mutya that at least one person appreciated the lyrics of the song.
