Book review- Dig if You Will the Picture/Ben Greenman- NY Times Book Review

Pretty good review: "he's focused and convincing where it counts, on the music..."

Well, I looked for it before I posted this and didn't see it 🙄 Did you see this book review posted somewhere else? I have posted other articles about this book previously.

No you didn't. If you put in "Ben Greenman" in the search box, there are a dozen results.

How presumptuous of you. Since it's so important to you, I'll let you know I searched under the title, although frankly I don't know why I feel the need to exert any energy on replying to you. Nonetheless, for whatever it's worth, under those 'dozen results,' I still didn't see this particular book review listed (mind you, I didn't exhaustively search for it, and I'm sure you will quickly and arrogantly point this out to me again if so).

This might sound very superficial but I am about to order the book but the the US Cover looks amazing but the UK version with just a Purple cover and symbol doesn't look as great. I presume they are identical in content.

Robert Christgau ended a brief review of “Dirty Mind” in 1980 like this:

“Mick Jagger should fold up his penis and go home.”

I don't think it sounds superficial. The UK book could be the same book. I'm not sure about this, but I just looked it up and it probably is. The US publisher most likely sold separate UK/Commonwealth rights for it. If so, the cover rights are usually not included. The UK pub will redesign their cover, although the text is the same.
I'm also thinking about reading this book. If you read it I'd be curious to know what you think of it.

You're welcome...that Mick Jagger line cracks me up, too. I also cracked up at the reviewer's comment regarding the author's Prince observation that "he seems to be straight". The reviewer says, "yes, the way Usain Bolt seems to be fast." Lol!
