imprimis

(Completely non-exhaustive, and covering some of the protege/associated artist recordings):

.

The Hookers Late '81/early '82, overlaps to a large extent with Vanity 6 (1982)

.

Unreleased Live Album to accompany 'The Second Coming' film - early '82

.

Unreleased/Incomplete Vanity 6 follow-up, circa early/mid '83 (including 'Sex Shooter', an early '17 Days', 'Promise to be True', 'Vibrator', and possibly 'G-Spot', including reworked outtakes from the previous album)

.

Rumored OST/score for a possible stage or Broadway production adapting/based in part on some of the 'Dream Factory' material/themes - early Summer '86

.

Abandoned OST for 'The Dawn' (1986)-- featuring 'Coco Boys', 'Crucial', 'When the Dawn of the Morning Comes', and other as yet unknown tracks

.

Aborted Bonnie Raitt PP (or, at least, Prince-produced) album, circa early 1987

.

4th Sheila E album, unreleased, mostly completed, perhaps titled 'Latino Barbie Doll' or 'Girl Power' '87/'88 (for release in '88 or '89)

.

Unreleased, mostly completed, Second Jill Jones Album '89

.

Madhouse - 24 '88/'89

.

Margie Cox - MC Flash - '87-'89

.

Morris Day (with 'The Time' attribution) - Corporate World

.

Madhouse - 26 '89

.

Madhouse 24 '93/'94

.

Latino Barbie Doll - early alternative configuration of album that evolved into Mayte's Children of the Sun - circa '93/'94

.

The Undertaker

.

Happy Tears Mac/PC CD-ROM project '95/'96

.

The Dawn - circa 1996 (most likely entirely unrelated to earlier similarly named projects)

.

Beautiful Strange '98/'99

.

High '00

.

Great thread! I was lucky enough to buy Tamar's Milk and Honey on holiday in Japan the day before it was recalled.

Prince claimed to have re-recorded all/most of the WB albums, so they are all unreleased.

I believe that was going to be the 3rd Prince disc on the Lotusflow3r set.

Is there any more information about this, any knowledge about how far he got into recording this one? TRC is one of my favourite latter day Prince albums and I'd love to hear more music from that era that has that same jazzy, organic instrumentation (less enthusiatic about the weird fundamentalist lyrics but whatever, doesn't ruin the released material for me.)

I wonder if Prince destroyed Happy Tears when he allegedly burned everything that reminded him of Mayte and Amiir?

"Welcome 2 America" definitely had a configuration at one point, and at least one orger heard all of it from a member of the NPG.

"FUNK" was at one point an album as well. In fact, Ben had some received some information about it from one of Prince's associates at the time, but Prince moved on from that project pretty quickly.

Thank you, that's a very interesting thread, I think I did actually see it the first time but had totally forgotten about it. Would love to hear this stuff one day, but I doubt is being lined up for release by the estate soon, but one can dream...

I believe this was the working title of what turned out to be the Beatles' 'White Album'. Never heard it in the context of P

- androgynine

- 20ten deluxe

- beautiful strange

- the undertaker ( this obviously is real--we all either own the video or the album or both)

From Susan Rogers post and pre death I interviews, they were recorded an album ever week or two, and 30 percent of it was very good.

Are there any rumours/info about unreleased albums from 2011-2013? There's nothing on the vault about unreleased projects from that period.
