Crazy You - an underrated gem I listened to the For You album before work this morning (yes, I was late for the 25th anniversary), and although I've had this album for years, it blew me away this morning - this is a great album!
And one of my new favorite tracks is Crazy You - what a gem. It easily could have been on The Truth (seeing as both are mostly acoustic). I've had that tune in my head all day. Gentle, relaxed, personal. Love it. Anyone else into this hidden gem? | |

When I first heard it in 1986 (damn I feel old) it was my favorite song on For You for a long time. I still love it!   Proud member of Prince's cult for 20 years! | |

People seriously sleep on the For You & Prince albums, they're both really, REALLY good. And yes, Crazy You is indeed a gem. Love it   I never met you, but I LOVE you & I will forever!! Thank you for being YOU - my little Princey, the best to EVER do it | |

The live version from Sam's MNPLS March 1981 gig is awsome.
Pity the sound is crappo. Bob Dylan was at that gig, and asked to meet P after the show. P refused! Probably overwhelmed with shyness, as usual. TheLodger. | |

That is a great song. I had the opportunity to see that song performed live in Chicago during the "Dirty Mind" tour. Prince played a red heartshaped Telecaster (guitar) and they did a nice long extended version where Prince did a killer guitar solo.And one of my new favorite tracks is Crazy You - what a gem. if you love tha5t kind of Prince which is also my favorite including with it stuff like crystal ball and the entire black album...get Cody Chestnuts album you will be 100% satisfied and you soul will feel replenished from the depravation of great music | |
