NME Website RE: the purple house being torn down (with a P.org mention) NME's website has the following article up today:
--- PURPLE PAIN! PRINCE fans have spoken out after the star demolished the family home which inspired his famous 1984 album and film 'PURPLE RAIN'. 'The Purple House', which stood on Lake Riley in Minneapolis, was knocked down two weeks ago - it had been a site of pilgrimage for Princefans for years. Disgruntled fans have flooded unofficial Princewebsite Prince.org with complaints. One fan said: "There was such history in that house - a lot of '1999', 'Purple Rain' was recorded in the basement studio." Another fan said:" It is a shame, historically speaking you know. It could have been made into a museum perhaps one day. A Minnesota historical site." Prince recently fell out with his sister, Lorna Nelson, over their late father's will, but her attorney said the demolition had nothing to do with her. The star's lover, Manuela Testolini, is also rumoured to be pregnant so he could be planning to build a larger house on the same site or could be moving to Canada, where he owns another property. Cool. Yeah man, in actuality it may be none of my business what Prince does with his property, but I must say that there was a short sited view of his history to demolish such a special place. I really hope too that it has something nothing to do with new religion. But again, I have no business in the matter. But...it kind of sucks. He's treated the house like he treats his legacy in someways...oh well. | |

Well it is his house...and when U have a house you can do with it what you want.
Like "native american indian/that I am" when we wish to CLEAN HOUSE we literally "CLEAN HOUSE" which means Cleanse the soul by de-ttaching past things to start fresh again. CUT The hair very short/Burn past material things BACK to the EARTH, etc. This is a CLEANSING that was performed...Onward to "higher ground".
