Lessons From Prince's Lawyer: Know What Your Work Is Worth

http://www.billboard.com/...ur-work-is

This is what I have been saying all along. Who are these people really? This guy was not Prince's lawyer he was hired by Breamer. In addtion, the deals were due to expired soon how does he not know Prince was not going to renew them? Why is he surprised he had deals for Sheila E and the Time those are his songs as well? Maybe he had deals with mulitple companies globally because he was unhappy with UMG you know the company he quit dealing with a few years ago. Maybe he did not want one company to have so much say. In the end it was his music to do as he pleased. What he was doing was right for him at the time. Continual disrespect from the bank and their associated attorneys.

-----

Throughout his career, Prince was a champion of artistic freedom. But in a horribly ironic twist, when he died on April 21, 2016, without a will, he hadn't put in place a legal, financial or creative road map that would allow his estate to follow a direct, clearly delineated vision.
