Heard the snippet now, the vocals are great... I'm glad the studio version is different, we still have the live version in pretty good quality - so two to choose from.

If they wanted to do Beyonce style guerrila tactics they should have just dropped the full digital release out of nowhere, with the physical to follow.

I don't doubt that they'll do some promotion, but letting this go live without officially announcing any info and then just waiting for us to find it, is pretty bizarre.

I work for a digital agency that works closely with labels and artists. Digital services routinely spoil announce plans because of the way their automated updates work, but its a risk you have to take if you want the first single available when the press release goes out.

I guarantee there will be a blast tomorrow to formally announce.

I did a release through Ingrooves a few years back, and I vaguely remember that it was tough to keep track of this kind of stuff. All the material was submitted at the same time, but certain services needed a much longer processing time.

That said, at the very least they ought to have publicly acknowledged the release by now, even a tweet wouldn't gone amiss.

Perhaps – but there's no excuse for rotating the main photo.

just hope its not cased in a cardboard digipak...as i hate them...they wear and tear far too quickly....

Probably I'm in the minority, but I strongly prefer the studio version of EL to the live version.

Finally an outtake long-waited that actually delivers the quality hoped.

Yeah, this. My first impression is closer to "Umm yeah, I see why this was never released" rather than "Wow it's finally here."

Hopefully this version will grow on me.

Quite apparently recorded entirely in the studio from scratch, and not a version that even partially retains the First Avenue live multitrack recording (unlike 'I Would Die 4 U')-- and likely to have been recorded before that performance previewed the song.
