Go to iTUNES and change it to INDIA and type in Purple Rain Deluxe then you can listen to the snippet.

I love those haunting piano chords on Electric Intercourse, the sound is amazing too. Well done with the remaster.

The other thread was several pages look, and had a bunch of people discussing whether it was real, whether it was finalized, and a ton more speculation etc. Now it's real, thus new thread.

I knew Electric Intercourse was available to stream, because when my friend phoned me to say the album was up before I made the graphic, he played it down the phone. I wanted to get the graphic up first and then try changing regions myself to hear the song before I updated the thread title.

Electric Intercourse is FIRE! I like the bounce the record has vs the live version tha I've heard. If this is the lead single it's gonna be a nice hit and be copied by Future and Designer immediately.

This is genuinely exciting stuff

Wondering why 'When Doves Cry (7" Edit)' is credited to 'Prince' instead of 'Prince & The Revolution'. Is it going to be at the end of the CD with the previously unreleased stuff?

(It's just him on 'God' and several others too, yet those are credited to the Revolution...)

Snippet sounds cool, although looks like you're only able to buy the whole song if you've actually got an Indian iTunes account, tried to do it but was apparently redirected to the UK store but obviously that doesn't have it up yet. How annoying, I'm British-Indian but apparently that ain't enough

When Doves Cry is a Prince song, the band is not on this (the lead single from the album).

Prince did play everything himself on this song (afaik).

I'm one of the clumsy ones too, to be fair, I can only play the preview snippet in the Japanese iTunes store...

Jeeez, guys, of course I KNOW it was recorded by Prince alone!

Just as 'God', 'The Beautiful Ones', 'Darling Nikki', 'Erotic City' and 'Another Lonely Christmas' were, yet they are credited to the Revolution.
