Seriously, was that CD set perfumed??

Does anyone else know what I'm talking about?

No other CD I ever bought from 1985 to ~2010 smelled like Emancipation. Sort of a

cloying fruity scent.

It wasn't perfumed, but Like A Prayer actually was scented.

I am not a newbie and I completely agree! Each time I open that case, the smell takes me back to that era... I always thought that it was the type of ink or type of paper, or the combination of the two, used for that print job.

mine does still have that rustic perfumic smell...i know exactly what your talking about.....

I quite like this post.......its far diffrent from the usual same crap we have (top ten prince albums or if you could make an album combining purple rain, parade and sott...using only 9 songs what would your tracklist be.... ) ...I find it very truthfull and articulate

I knew exactly what your were talking about, I remember when I took off the seal when i first opened it.....and that smell was just blasted me in the face.....infact it still smells the same now just not as strong

That case definitely had a smell to it and I never thought of it as Pez candies but I can kinda get the comparison.
