I struggle with Deliverance apparently being recorded around 2007/8 as most of it sounds exactly from Emancipation and Chaos And Disorder. . Maybe Prince was juts borrowing from some old ideas or maybe the songs are mid 90s but recorded late 00s. .

Actually thinking about it, I can access it now, no need to wait til later
Lotusflower (Part 1) Guitar Chelsea Rogers Mr Goodnight All the Midnights in the World Lion of judah / Song of the Heart - Both crossed out Future Baby Mama Lion of Judah Love Like Jazz Della Blackheart Wall of Berlin Resolution Deliverance Something else crossed out - Cant read it Interlude - (All Things Just) Lotusflower (Part 2)

. Sorry to be a pain, but what is the background to this as I've never come across this before. . For example was it a written note someone saw or a CD-R given to a producer etc etc. . Personally I think the released version is near perfection - so thank goodness this didn't happen . Thanks loads!!!! .

Hand written tracklist by Prince. In the recent French book by (I think) Alex Tain.
And I agree, the tracklisting is not very good at all. blah blah blah

The crossed out title that is illegible is "All Is Well Interlude" changed to "All Things Just." erik319 said: Actually thinking about it, I can access it now, no need to wait til later

Thanks a lot for this, had never seen it before. Does seem to be a bit of a mishmash of different styles so I can't say it looks hugely appealing. Della Blackheart looks like it's the only unreleased track from this then, wonder what that sounds like, pretty odd title Heavenly wine and roses seems to whisper to me when you smile...

I'm glad that this configuration never saw the light of day ! This is my LotusFlower (a new approach) playlist, a lot better than his i think. From The Lotus... Boom Crimson And Clover 3121 Wall Of Berlin $ Deliverance I Am Touch Me Sunrise Sunset No One Else Colonized Mind Dreamer ...Back 2 The Lotus [Edited 4/23/17 18:08pm] [Edited 4/23/17 18:09pm] "You can skate around the issue if you like,

I couldn't dissagree more. I think Lotusflow3r is near perfect (which ever configuration). Adding the new stuff in drasticlly reduces the quality. Always cry 4 love, never cry 4 pain.

Plus, i think a lot of this comes from a 2006 session with Michael B. and Sonny T. that's why i made these choices. I thing it's a lot better end it flows well. "You can skate around the issue if you like,

Yeah that early Lotusflower tracklist just looks like a very first attempt at compiling something with tracks he probably had just been working on.
As for the new tracks "I Am", "Touch Me", "Sunrise Sunset" and "No One Else", they were part of an early Planet Earth configuration dated May 2007 (only 2 months before the official release), according to Matthieu Bitton, who also owns the original tracks (not mixed/instrumentation added by Boxill).
Interesting because I remember a couple of people in here mentioning a different tracklist for Planet Earth 10 yeas ago, around June 2007. None of them actually posted the alternate tracklist, so that was billed as fake info.
Btw, the idea and first configurations of the LotusFlower album started before 3121 was even born as an idea. [Edited 4/24/17 3:11am]

now, there was also talk of a early/different/alternate 'planet earth' tracklist and true love lives on lollipops and crisps

I agree, my only wish would have been to have Prince's version of Redhead Stepchild to replace 77 beverly Park.

This is the new Come // Gold looks like lol. Planet Earth was far a slump in comparison to Lotus Flow3r. Lotus is now one of my top 10 prince albums of all time. It just fits..the entire thing...sans the other albums attatched to it. Straight Jacket Funk Affair
Album plays and love for vinyl records.
