Remember in the movie after she jumped in it, He said, "That Ain't Lake Minnetonka". But I say she Purified that lake or pond when she jumped her sexy arse in it.

Prince was right. That wasn't lake Minnetonka. She jumped in at one location and came out in another.

Yup - she jumped in in Minnesota and came out in LA. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

You all are not joking right? I thought the place she jumped in was the same place she came out? What about the scenes when she is wet trying to get on the motorcycle with Prince to leave, seems like same area out in the country in MN...?

Been there. Completely overgrown. It was the Minnesota River, about 45 miles south of Chanhassan.

You know who owns that area of land that they were standing on related to that particular part of the Minnesota River? [Edited 4/27/17 9:06am]

I do not, and there are "No Trespassing" signs posted. Of course, I saw it in the summer, when it was very green. The movie was filmed there in November, when all of the undergrowth and overgrowth was dead. I'm sure the film crew cleaned up the site, too. And it was 30 years ago- lots of time for things to grow!

Cool Name you got. You say the person has "No Trespassing" signs, guess they didn't want fams/fans visiting it...

It's in Henderson, MN. Looks completely different around there today. It's on private property. But there isn't much to see. I still can't believe they filmed that so late in the year, but I guess ya gotta shoot when you can It's a hurtful place, the world, in and of itself. We don't need to add to it. We all need one another. ~ PRN

It was filmed near Herderson MN, along the river and rail track. I went there last week. Looks nothing like it did 34 years ago. .

I don't know anything about that pond. But it's never looked as good as when Apollonia was in it.

Been there too. Pretty amazing. Astasheiks, do you know who owns the land? Or were you asking who owns it?
