He was my first everything. He brought me to life. His music moved me to dance. He made me feel. He helped me see. He showed me the way. Through him, I learned about love, passion and joy. My friend, my brother- I wish you Heaven. I felt your presence at Paisley Park when I was there less than two weeks ago. I felt peace. I felt love. I felt you. Standing in your atrium I shed tears of sadness because I missed you but also tears of joy knowing that you were someplace better and that you felt everyone's love for you. The doves had been silent all morning (our tour guide told us) but they began to coo while I stood there with my arms around my best friend and my niece. You gave us so much. You will forever be a part of my life and my soul. I wish you Heaven. | |
