It's strange, because I listen to his music 98% of the time. And it bummed me out that I would never be excited about a new release again. Open the vaults...! Rest in peace my dear Mr. Nelson...Thank U for all of the music and then some!

If it breaks when it bends, U better not put it in!

One year with the knowledge he is not more on this earth.

He still lives.
His soul is portrayed by his music, and his music will never die.

Lately I have found myself reading and rereading articles (http://www.popmatters.com/feature/water-baby-a-eulogy-for-our-departed-prince/), watching those priceless (youtube) videos of live performances, and listening, listening, listening - oh! that music!

I grieve his loss everyday and try to remember to celebrate more than lament. I am so very grateful to have shared the planet with this commanding beam of energy, talent, humour, intelligence, inspiration, discipline, fragility, and love … God bless, and thank you Prince.

Can you make it rain harder?

Fighting back the tears & focussing on all the amazing memories I have since first seeing him on TV in '82. What a journey he took us on. Blessed to have had a chance to hug him briefly & tell him that I love him..that 1 brief moment gives me some solace.

How lucky are we all to have lived & seen a once in a lifetime artist such as Prince...he will be writen about in centuries to come & we were here with him.

There will never be another like him. I'm glad I was alive to witness the beginning of his career all the way to the end. His fearlessness, dedication to his craft, and sense of humor will be sorely missed. Prince created a world in which his music lived and we all got to visit because the admission was easy. All we had to do was believe. RIP

You've probably felt for many years in your former life, that you were separate from not only others , but even yourself.

Now you can see that was never the case.

You are actually everything and anything that you can think of.

All of it is you
Remember there is really only one destination, and that place is, you
All of it
Everything
Is you

Just somewhere in the middle,
Not too good and not too bad.

It still hurts, kinda like losing a family member. I've said it a year ago: his music was like a friend to me when I was a teenager when I didn't have any friends. I was consciously introverted, not big on having friends, really. But there were times when I felt down, lonely, broken-hearted, and there was always a Prince song that expressed my moods and feelings. New Prince music was something to look forward to when it was announced and now, even though new music is still released, it won't be the same because it's not new music put out from the Paisley fields in Minnesota. Any "new" music we're given won't actually be new, but works pulled from storage, packaged, and sold as new. There won't be anymore concert announcements. No cryptic tweets from the man himself anymore.

The world lost something huge one year ago today, and after a year it still feels like a family member was taken from us. That something taken away left a hole that can't be filled again.

I just hope he can in some way know that young people are discovering his music and getting INSPIRED by it. He achieved immortality through his music.

I was not a fan before his death and I regret that but I'm so glad I discovered his incredible music.

Greatest Rock Star Ever. The biggest reason I am a Prince fan is because he understood old school rock'n'roll showmanship. It's not enough to get on stage and play the music well. It's important to be spectacular and surprise and challenge the audience too. He did that better than anybody. It will be awesome to hear his unreleased music but what I am most looking forward to is the live concert videos hopefully being released.RIP Prince and thank you!

Prince - thank you for all your music and for being such an amazing musician. I feel so fortunate to have discovered your music in the early 80's and to have had so much fun and enjoyment from it over the past 35+ years. I am looking forward to hearing much more from the vault. I miss you so much and it makes me so sad to know I will never see you perform live again, but I will keep those memories in my heart forever. You are the greatest and your fans will never forget you. heart
