Someone sang Nothing Compares 2 U on The Voice tonight

...and god was it awful. It wasn't full on Sinead O'Connor version but pretty close. It was like really bad karaoke. Worst thing is you have a bunch of young people who don't know the song on Twitter saying what an awful song and horrible song choice. Gwen Stefani is a horrible coach. And please if you're going to do a Prince song make sure you get it right. This was all kinds of wrong.

purplepoppy	I saw it. Agree. And before that another guy on her team did "A Case of You" by Joni Mitchell, covered like an angel by Prince. He didn't even sing all the words. Just the chorus over & over. Damn, you gonna screw up 2 of our best poet's songs? I'm wondering if she picked those songs because of Prince. If she did she failed. Brand new boogie without the hero.

She's a terrible coach. I wish that show would have stuck to its policy of no Prince covers. 😔
