What kind of guitar was Prince's first electric? Was it similar to the telecaster he had on American Bandstand? | |

Good question. I've seen in early pics and also displayed at Paisley Park a electric guitar that looks like a Les Paul or copy of one. It has like leather and studs on the front. | |

well, before the Hohner Madcat from the Dirty Mind period, he had a very similar Fender Telecaster. Before that, there were a few, including a Les Paul looking guitar that had some modification to the body (you can see it in PP during the tour now, the modifications (he sawed of a part) was not done by a professional, it looks kinda ghetto).
If he is at all like most people, it was most likely a Fender Strat (also because of his love for Jimi Hendrix) Paisley Park is in your heart - Love Is Here! |
