I love when Andre Cymone is talking about his goofy side, a pranktser, and not just the lonely guy that they made it seem like he was on the that documentary with Mark Anthony dressed as Prince. It's not weird for a person like Prince to feel alone on the top. But he sure had humor, and he sure had alot of fun both when he was younger, and later when hanging out with people like John Blackwell. Just listening to Blackwell, we know that atleast his friends often enjoyed their time with him, and that he didn't lose his goody side.
Remember when Blackwell told us about that Subway episode where Prince personally went inside with John to buy him a sandwich with only lettuce and butter? He presumably made him eat that stuff, so that he could look good like him My Soundcloud: https://soundcloud.com/tundrah

i really think too much is made of P being lonely, for guys like him (and me) the more solitude, the more peace, the better. Like he said in one of his last great songs he 'wanted to be left alone'.

True. However, even most introverts wants to feel wanted and needed sometimes. A problem with being a too respected mega star, is that it's almost impossible to be treated normal. People either freak out or tries hard not to seem weird. People that knew him changevery their behaviour around him too. [Edited 4/20/17 13:49pm] My Soundcloud: https://soundcloud.com/tundrah

ya, but i'll never believe it, like smokey robinson said once, there are millions of people who wish they had just one person who loved them.

Why would Prince want to invite so many people to Paisley Park, release so much music and pictures of himself if not in some way communicating with more than one person? It's not like he was isolating himself in a cave, getting fed by a machine every now and then. It's pretty obvious that atleast to some agree he must have enjoyed having more than one person that loved him. [Edited 4/20/17 20:59pm] My Soundcloud: https://soundcloud.com/tundrah

sorry, should have been more specific with what I meant about smokey. smokey said, in an awards speech about a year or two ago, how these new artists are getting too entitled and big headed and said they should feel lucky because there are so many people in the world that wish one person loved them, it's true, it really is, just think about it. but my point was, Prince could not have been any more lonely than millions and millions of other people, no way. Musicians are often kind of antisocial, frank zappa said something like "people are real nice to you and as soon as their done being nice to you, they want something". That's a common attitude musicians have, just part of the artistic temperament i think, bob dylan is like that, many others. Prince did seem a contradiction, letting people run rampant over his studio/home like little children and performing shows for little to nothing there for fans while at the same time getting lots of isolation time.
