That line can be taken many different ways.

I take it to mean that in the story his experiences with his sister shaped his sexuality - not his sexual preference.

There are BDSM tones to the song, as well as incest - and there is no mention that the experience turned the character Gay, or straight (from being Gay before the experience).

I always take it to mean that what he did with his sister shaped what he likes to do sexually, not with whom he does it.
