"Train" is an excellent example of Prince's otherworldly vocal range This "Dream Factory" track is so amazing. I love it. I don't argue with people about my opinions. Scram. I said what I said.

I love it, too! I'm still amused that he mentions Santa Fe in the chorus. I just can't picture Prince in Santa Fe, LOL.

It's such a great pop song. Mavis' version was pretty good, but some of the aural traveling elements were missing. I'd even trade out "It" on SOTT for "Train", if a song had to go to make place for it. Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking.

Santa Fe is the urbane capital of New Mexico and in an area where stars can walk around unbothered -- and many live there. Even Oprah, Jane Fonda, Shirley MacClaine, designer Tom Ford, Val Kilmer, Julia Roberts, etc. While the Pueblo scene there doesn't fit P, the vibe and artistry would have. . Welcome to "the org", laytonian… come bathe with me.

This song I feel is a really cool link to the Parade/Under the Cherry Moon - Dream Factory progression.

Train made me a Prince fan. Always cry 4 love, never cry 4 pain.

Absolutely love that track. He wrote such great pop songs. Such depth, creativity and far from conventional. I remember when I was 14, having that track on a cheap MP3 player that could only hold about 10 songs. Listened to it on repeat all summer. Moonbeam Levels, Thieves In The Temple (acoustic demo), Good Love, If I Was Your Girlfriend, Train, Venus De Milo. I had a couple of songs from different artist on there too. I got two sides... and they're both friends.

I agree. It is the song from the Dream Factory that should have made it to SOTT.
