Prince open affection toward woman

I was watching a video of Prince and Mayte and the years they spent together
I was touched at how open he was with her and his love and affection toward her.
You can see the love in his touch and in his eyes when he kissed her. I've never
seen him so kissy kissy with anyone like he was with her. Even when he and Manuela
were at a Lakers game he wouldn't kiss her. Was he ever lovingly open with any other female
Like he was with Mayte?

I agree, he believed she was his soulmate and married her with every good intention. I saw and undersood their attraction and connection at the time. She embodied his music, she was a talent, and she was young and beautiful. At the time she also seemed very mature-minded and focused. They were close, it was love, he wanted the marriage, kids, and a life with her until the unfortunate happened. I think Mayte has been quietly bitter for years, with a sense of love/hate because he dumped her and went on to marry someone else. He did marry Mayte in his hometown, which says a lot about them. After that point, and with other women he seemed reluctant to show such a public display of love and interest while he wanted privacy after Mayte, and other companions were asked to remain discreet for years. Within his 2nd marriage and moving to Canada for a few years, they probably weren't photographed a lot and she seemed interested in taking him out of the spotlight, or maybe he wanted out himself for a while. Anyway, he came to his senses and moved back to MN. I don't think Mani had his heart in the way Mayte did; he seemed more interested in having a woman to come home to, who would have his back and be the confidante/overseer of NPG/Paisley Park... Anyway, I hope I've helped answer your inquiry.

I don't know..not to play devil's advocate. If it weren't for the JW stuff, the divorce papers, and the way in which he met Manuela, most people would probably see her as a better fit. She was educated, a little bit older than Mayte when Prince met her, in charge of his charities, and not interested in being a performer. Plus, the few pictures there are of Prince without makeup are with her. Plus, isn't it pretty generous of P to move to Canada because of her? She may have become a JW to get him but he moved to Canada for her. That to me indicates more of a peaceful partnership than the overwhelming possessiveness of the previous relationship (that is until it fell apart again due to infidelities and prince probably overworking).

I liked seeing him happy with all of his women...he at some point loved them all for a reason and they became Ex's for a reason too.
Seems he had a love for people...

Yes, I think each woman was very special and significant. I especially admire Sheila E. for her decades of unconditional love, friendship, music, power, and influence. Moreover, he adored all women, not just for intimacy but he knew a woman's worth and God's purpose for them, he sought to exhalt and empower early on, so much that he wore their clothing, jewelry, shoes etc. to make that imprint on the entire world. I totally understand why they all adored him too, he was a very loving person with a great respect for humankind.

It is unfortunate that the relationship got started as an affair as those relationships have a high rate of failure. If he done things the right way and divorced and then got involved with wife number 2 things might have gone better.

In all respects, it's really unfortunate that maybe he didn't allow time to heal or to reveal how his love life would take shape. He needed that marriage and stability in his latter years, even if he continued to tour and maybe marriage was on his mind again before he got sick. Through it all nothing takes the place of having a dedicated spouse to sustain you through the good and bad times. It is best to close one door before you open another, do things the right way. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt knowing he was one man holding up a hugely successful music company literally alone, yet he always made time to love someone. BTW, Mz. LR...I enjoy your comments- your wit and your wisdom shines thru and you're on point.

Maybe it is because she was smoking hot. I mean she is still attractive now, but she was super hot in a way I can't really comprehend.

I think he just had to many woman to chose from his entire life. Pretty much any woman he laid eyes on could be his, to what ever level he desired. And for someone that loved woman as much as he did he could not definitively choose just one ever. As much as he may have desired the stability of a family and wife, the endless smorgasbord was always more appealing

I think Prince was in absolute awe of women and admired us greatly. I would go as far as to say that he worshipped us.

Yes, the musician always gets the girl and with his awesomeness and fame, I think the only one who would have won his heart and possibly spent the rest of her life with him would've been the one to give him lots of babies.
