"Peach" Guitar Solos "Peach" is probably one of my favorite Prince rock songs. But I'm not a guitar guy. It seems to well known that Prince used three different guitars, one for each solo. Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking.

Well, I am a guitar player and I can't tell you if it was one or different guitars. I wish there was more video of him working in the studio. It would be so interesting to see how he developed his songs, played a solo that wasn't quite right and punch in to fix or just improvise and the edit the best ideas down to an 8 bar solo. Or in this case, record the rhythm guitar on the cloud on one day and come in the next and use his madcat for the solo. BTW, was there a story or article that mentioned using different guitars for the solo? Like a G flat major with an E in the Bass

Well, there are a couple of effects used in the solos, besides his basic crunch. Around 2:15 he has that filterbank where the guitar pans back and forth and then at 2:55 sounds like he kicked on his flanger for a second. But other than that, the only way we'll know if there were separate guitars used would be from someone that was in the studio to confirm. This is one thing I would like to see from the vault, if it exists, video of him recording for real, first ideas to completed song. I wonder if anything like tha exists?
