I don't know much about it either. But I know how to find a life number. You add your month, day, and year down to a single number. Prince's would be:

6+7+1+9+5+8 = 36

3+6 = 9

I think a lot of religious people look to the number 7, because it's a number of completion, and it's very prevalent in the Bible. 7 seals, 7 bowls empties, 7 trumpets, etc etc. 10 is a big number too - 10 plagues in Egypt, 10 commandments, etc etc. Prince was probably no different in trying to find meaning in a number.

I have a lot of 4s around me. Not really sure what it all means, but it's like that episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation where the number three kept coming up. haha

I always thought his interest in the number 7 was for 100% biblical reasons, but what she said made me think there could be a host of reasons why he holds the number 7 dear, a lot of it could have been very personal to him.

I've read Touré's book, it's a great read but he also has a tendency to massively stretch points to his argument, like that numerology bullshit he pulls at one point. Not to mention how many basic mistakes he makes not even knowing what albums some tracks are on, it's like he never proofread the damn thing.
