In the song, Family Name, Prince says, "Make a sound. Violet Brown." Do you know what he means?

Violet is a lighter shade of purple that when mixed with brown, becomes purple.

Violet Brown= head of Wherehouse Music Entertainment. Been a fan of his music and is the only President of a retail music company that is black and female.


Wherehouse just declared bankrupty so they are closing stores left and right on the west coast.
