Loves Exy or Loves Ex/Y?

I've heard that LoveSexy is about ecstasy and I've heard it's about the Lord. But maybe P wanted it to be about whatever the listener interpreted. LoveSexy seems on the surface to be about some epiphany. But it never explains the meaning of the word LoveSexy. Break down the word though and you can hear it as "Loves Exy" Exy being slang for ecstasy back in the 80's. OR... you could hear it as Loves EX/Y or Loves both the Ex and Y chromosome or Loves Males. Makes you hear the first two lines in Anastasia a little differently. Or maybe LoveSexy is just LoveSexy and there is no meaning beyond an epiphany that Prince had about God and funk and being positive.

Your last line is correct. The album notes make it pretty clear what Lovesexy is. "Lovesexy is when ur in love with the heavens above" (paraphrasing), but the title track and Alphabet St. make it clear that loving the heavens involves a lot of sex. At least that's my interpretation.

I'm not a Chelsea Handler fan, so it's unlikely I've ever used it before. Yet my disdain for her was dually conveyed by my usage of the GIF reflecting my disdain for the thread itself.
