Great topic bluegangsta!

Agree with: Something In The Water, Rebirth Of The Flesh, Hallucination Rain, Sticky Like Glue, I Wish U Heaven, Fuck It Up Jam

Would add:

Soul Psychodelicide (1hr jam)

Billy's Sunglasses
What's Your Name / Let's Pretend We're Married (87)

wink

<.

Sticky was from one of the 3rdEyeTV livestreams, 2013

I Wish U Heaven & Fuck It Up Jam was from the Lovesexy Tour rehearsals

The long-ass Alphabet Street from Lovesexy tour rehearsals is one of my favourite things ever.

The Dance Electric rehearsal from about 5 years ago I enjoyed, I mean it's not Revolution era SITW but it's nice.

The SOTT Rehearsals. For Dorothy Parker/4 and especially the epic It's Gonna Be A Beautiful Night. It's almost hard to listen to the studio version sometimes because of those...

The Another Lonely Christmas rehearsals with When The Saints Go Marching In.

Mu-si-cology!

I love how he teaches the bass line. And it 's a pretty amazing one, especially in the descent starting on the second part of the verse, my mind does a mistake everytime until I finally get it (I'm the slow type).

30 million bucks? What a bargain. Fuck, now it's done.
There will always be musicians, and music lovers.
Prince can sell over a century.

For 9.99 a month (you get this month's [or a specific one] releases),
or 49.99 a year worth of releases,
say 5 outtakes and 2 live concerts each month,
x
10 000 musicians
+ 10 000 music lovers
= 20 000 subscribers and occasional buyers a month around the globe, so pretty reasonable estimates, let's say interested in production, composition arrangements,
times a 100 years (It's only marketing, Babe. And belieeeve me, I'm ready to do dark patterns for Skipper — so Dark! wink If people forget how good is Whitney and mistakes trained monkees for her, what does that tell you about selling a product nowadays? ).

That's around 1.000.000 bucks a year, and believe me, you can repackage it to death, given that you'll have a turn-over of 5 years per subscriber (could be ten, or for nutcases like me, a lifetime — but I want exclusives goodies). That's only 200 000 sales a year, but hey. Then ou have all the extras: soloing the song in Paisley Park, on the SSL G series.

The way he worked, I would pay a lifetime subscription if we had, say once a year, a full song session on multitrack (one of SKipper's websites had this back in '98 or '99, does someone know?). Or maybe was it Bowie? I think the mixer in the NPMGMusic Club was not a multitrack where you could mute each instrument, but I'm pretty sure Bowie did it on his website at some point.

I mean I would wet my pants, get high as the Eiffel Tower (in all senses, know what I mean?).

Imagine: we would know how many first takes there are.

For ALL of them.
And I want to hear the discarded ones!
Imagine soloing the guitars on JIR.
Or your favorite song. Solo.

Men, I feel like a Rockhard just thinking about it (there's joy in repetition).

More rehearsals!
Keep'em coming!
biggrin

PS : Shall we agree that soundchecks don't count? Or do they? Because that would leave us out of root beer... razz

It's a dedicated bootleg. 1 hour or so, just Prince teaching the Revolution how to play it. Funny thing, he probably recorded all by himself on the official release.

Prince and Wendy and Lisa singing "Ho When The Saints" is priceless.
Humble and touching.

Jerry Lee Lewis, man.

Is this the one AKA Neon Rendezvous? Awesome - especially Little Red Corvette (those screams!) and Something in the Water.

That is a fantastic rehearsal, I didn't think he played Little Red Corvette during it, are you sure you're thinking of the "Neon Rendezvous" one?
