Will the Revolution regroup? What are your thoughts? Interesting snippets from an interview with wendy and lisa. Here are some interesting snippets from an interview that wendy and lisa had a few years back. Think a reunion would certainly interest those fans whose interest has waned...what do you think?
Prince would send us masters in L.A., and we would work out the arrangements or whatever else, and then send it back to him," says Coleman. "Often, they would be skeleton's of songs, like Christopher Tracy's Parade, which originally was called Wendy's Parade. He never second guessed any of the work we did for him." Prince had become so reliant on Wendy & Lisa's input, in fact, that it lay behind his decision to give them the pinkslip halfway through the SIGN O'THE TIMES sessions. "He had started to distance himself from the music, and he told us he needed to go back to making music the way he used to make it,"says Lisa. "We had actually recorded a lot of stuff for SIGN O'THE TIMES, but he started from scratch, and none of it made it to the album." As for their erstwhile mentor, he did dedicate "IN THIS BED EYE SCREAM" to them, a song that can only be construed as a plea for forgiveness and reconciliation. Informed of this, both are incredulous, but intrigued. "It's so funny, because he had sent that song to us to see if we wanted to work on it," says Wendy. "We gave him some suggestions about it, and he sounded like he was into it, but we never heard from him again on the subject. He did call us recently, though to invite us to a party, so we'll see. We'd definitely be willing to work with him again. We're just waiting for that 4A.M. phone call." [This message was edited Tue Apr 8 16:39:29 PDT 2003 by jstar69]

I still don't get the pant wetting fever folks have for them to regroup, doesn't matter to me either way. I'd be happy for them if they (as people) could hash out any differences & if playing together is the result, great...

It would be cool to see them perform together again, and also patch up any hurts they might have between them, but I seriously doubt it will EVER happen.

wasn't this from around the time of the first celly? If so, I think that dissolved when he told them they would need to look into the Jehovah's Witness organization. I heard that from a producer the girls were working with at the time.

The fact that it is even discussed, above any other contributor - that shows their input, and their relevance. --------------------

Neil Finn actually mentioned the same thing in an interview, that the girls were like NO THANKS!! Prince may be the purple Yoda, but Wendy & Lisa and Eric Leeds also sit on the Jedi Council.

It would be cool, but hopefully there's enough room in Larry's ass for all of them. Prince may be the purple Yoda, but Wendy & Lisa and Eric Leeds also sit on the Jedi Council.

I think it would be nice to see them perform again.
But is this really true about the JW thing? Someone told me they either told John Blackwell the same thing before he joined the group, or else he was already a JW. Someone told me that why that security guy named Fred quit. If this is true, it's ridiculous.
