Nonsense. You're "pretty sure" about "something serious"? Like what? There's absolutely no evidence they were fuckin', if that's what you're alluding to. Even she said after the one time in the studio for "Stand Back", she didn't see him again for 10 or 15 years.

You know, folks can just love each other as artists and share mutual respect, and not have to get naked to do it.

I meant a serious connection - please don't overreact...

According to her- some advances were made, etc. but nothing physical ever happened - but they had a strong connection over the years - she used to even dedicate "Landslide" to him before he died - so he was constantly in her thoughts...

Fair enough. They definitely had a great respect for each other. It's too bad that Prince never performed "Stand Back" in concert, even in later years where he was more fluid with cover songs and rarer stuff.

Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking.

I agree especially some kind of medley or mashup with Little Red Corvette since he was starting to do that kind of stuff as well....

I think the whole world knows by now her Stand Back story!!! She needs to tell the story of Purple Rain, and how that song very nearly became hers and not Princes'!! I think the whole world would be blown away and shocked!!!

I don't know about people being blown away by the story--Came from Stevie's mouth-- Prince did offer for her to do something with the lyrics, and she felt like it was too much for her, saying that she froze up on the offer. She declined, so the story remains it's Prince song, Prince creation and Prince gets the credit for it, FOREVER Much love to all.

Yea if anything Purple Rain belongs more to (outside of Prince himself) Journey than anyone:

Love how the audience woohed everytime she said Prince. Asking him to walk with her when she feels strange about peforming - gave me chills. Thanks rogifan!

Brand new boogie without the hero.
