Really liked this one. Lenny is a musician and it makes all difference. And he is not a corny guy (it makes a difference too).

But I am curious about something: the videos of Prince´s performances at the RRHOF were professionally filmed with several cameras.
I only saw one-camera versions of Lenny´s. What happened?

The video clip is by someone in the audience.

The full show will be on HBO soon.

- Thanks for the info. I thought it was aired the same day on TV but nobody posted on YouTube.

it sure would be nice, though, if more people would pay tribute to the fact that prince made some excellent records that weren't recorded more than 25 years ago...

Nope, it will be an edited version. The ceremony itself lasts approx 5 hours, but the broadcast will be 3 hours max. I attended the 2012 ceremony.

Yeah they'll keep the good parts, they certainly won't cut any of Lenny's tribute. Some of the speeches get kinda long, so they trim them a bit. The inductees usually perform three songs each, they'll broadcast only two of the three songs. That sort of thing.

Thank Hezekiah Walker and the Love Fellowship Choir for your powerful God-given talents. Your voices made this tribute extra dynamic. Love and respect. Lenny

If you're watching, let us know how the show is. I am recording it and want to see good performances...otherwise, I am only doing so to see Lenny's performance for P.

Welcome to "the org", Mumio…they can have you, but I'll have your love in the end nod

I thought the same, great show from Kravitz.

That is such a great observation. And I didn't realize the choir was on both sides of the stage with the giant Prince backdrop in the middle either. Wishing I had HBO right about now.

What a wonderful wonderful tribute to Prince from Lenny. He knew exactly what to do... Give it his all. It was amazing. I didn't think anyone would be able to do When Doves Cry, but he nailed it. Lenny's and DeAngelo's tribute, the best I've seen yet.. touched yes yes clapping

Watched this on HBO. Lenny did a good job. But about the RRHOF in general, they need a new rule for eligibility. Take ELO who got in this year. Technically they were eligible in 1996, the year artists like Gladys Knight, The Shirelles and Jefferson Airplane were inducted. 21 years after they were eligible they finally got inducted. Or how about Joan Baez who was also inducted this year. She released her first album in 1960. Inducting Joan Baez and Pearl Jam in the same year is ridiculous. The rule should be 25 years after your first recording you become eligible but if you don't get in within 30 or 35 years you're no longer eligible. If I was a member of Journey I would be embarrassed to accept this award 17 years after I was first eligible. Especially when the class of 2000 included artists like the Moonglows and The Lovin' Spoonful. Is there such a dearth of quality artists to induct that they have to reach back to rejects like ELO and Journey?

Fantastic performance. Starting out with WDC and finishing with "The Cross"(a good non-hit choice). It's still touching to me after a year and we are still seeing a celebration of Prince and his music.

The wound still has not fully healed.

I like how he revamped WDC instead of the same copied versions. He caught the ghost a bit there too lol.

They rocked The Cross, too bad it was just a truncated verson (of both songs).

Craig got off on the guitar solo and Gail Anne Dorsey from Bowies last band was nice on WDC too

Sure did, broke out in a mini holy ghost dance. nod

I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.
