I love Lenny. He was quite popular when I was a teenager (late 90s, early - mid 2000s).

When You Were Mine would be a great choice although I wonder if he might have 2 sing in a lower octave or a different key in order 2 pull off that song. I would love 2 see Lenny do I Could Never Take the Place of Your Man.

Oh yes, yes that would be an excellent choice! It is certainly one that is rarely played. Would be nice to hear him play a song or two that hasn't already been done over and over.

Yes to this if he did the 3EG version. It's one of my favorite Prince songs and it doesn't get enough love in my opinion. I'd love it if he did When You Were Mine too but I wouldn't be surprised if he decides not to because it's the obvious choice.

I'm not familiar with the 3EG version of ICNTTPOYM. Was this a live performance? Nevermind, I found it on YT. I mainly like the 3EG performance for guitar solos, which are STELLAR! As for the pace and key of the song, I like the original better. The pace and key of the original + the guitar solos of the 3EG version would be amazing!

I guess I like it because it made me think of the song in a different way. So did the P&M performances. I'd love someone to do it any which way as I think it's a song of his that gets too overlooked.

Totally agree that I Could Never Take the Place of Your Man is overlooked. It's a great song, great storytelling and the title itself is cool.

I think Lenny did a great job and I especially enjoyed his interpretation of When Doves Cry done the Lenny Kravitz way. Great tribute to his dear friend.
