This is still my favorite Prince tribute Sad player and former NPG Hornz member BK Jackson performing Purple Rain at FAMU commencement. So much heart and passion in his performance. Nothing half-assed, no karaoke, just a damn good performance. I didn't know he was only 20 years old and still in college when Prince called him. I, too, think that tribute was one of the best. So heartfelt from both the artist and the crowd. I think nobody (vocally) to remind you that it wasn't Prince singing makes the rendition even more special. |
