When I first saw this movie,I assumed that the lady on the left is Sheila E I thought "oh cool,Sheila has a cameo in this movie!" lol
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
I know a few people who have said that, sorta like Purple Rain Sheila when she would put her hair up
Sheila E should have been in the movie along with many others...

ok B4 I go any further,
1. I think Kristen did a really good job expressing British aristocracy expression. And she was very good in facial expressions, which is KEY in Princeland.
2. So far (watching the movie a few more times) it is actually really good -I've said it b4 but a band scene & background scene bands during the birthday party would have really taken it up 5 notches
3. Prince did not do a good job being drunk when he went to the lady in white house lol
4. The Girls & Boys video is a reason the band should have been inthe movie, and that would have been a cool movie scene
5. In black & white it is VERY colorful

I agree. I love Kristen's facial expressions and I love that it is in black and white. I said the other day to someone that I think Prince was our last great "Old Hollywood" movie star. He's right up there with Joan Crawford and Buster Keaton and Valentino (as I've said before) --- this movie is so great- I wish he'd made a few more movies...

.... and every time I see it I want to cut off all my hair and get finger waves...

lol I was watching Girls & Boys and the UTCM premiere too Prince Wendy Jerome BrownMark had some serious finger wave styles
OMG why have we not seen a color version of Girls & Boys
but on topic the premier in Sheridan, just showed me that Prince was on point with his Utopia of Uptown Erotic City Paisley Park. When people in Sheridan Wy were dressed like people from PR First Avenue inthe movie and cowboys were digging Prince, that is what music does.

Christopher as a tragic artist would have been a much more avant garde film. Prince as a right out gigolo just did not endear me to him. But an artist moving among the Bourgeoisie and in similar fashion, wealthy housewives having affairs would have been cool. . Christopher and a band of artists and musicians, would have opened the door 4 a much more interesting story. along with all the colourful haute couture. . Even without them being speaking parts, just the presence in scenery settings and background performances as well as a few direct performances would have seriously spiced the movie up. David Coleman & Jonathan Melvoin the Family Mazarati (probably not performing but hanging out in a bar/club etc) the ballerina dancer
1. Under the Cherry Moon Outro - Piano Instrumental (Intro Voice over)
featuring Clare Fischers string musicians set behind Christopher
the grotto various artists hanging out creating
Christopher and musicians hired for the party (more believable reason to be there) the Family playing High Fashion or Susannah's Pajamas
the Revolution lead by Prince & Jill on Mia Bocca
the Revolution Prince Clare Fischer orchestra
18. Do U Lie? – Instrumental (Isaac’s car at Mrs Wellington’s)
Christopher & the Revolution/Family/Mazarati/Sheila E coming uptown to show Mary and the bourgeoisie how to party(the Girls & Boys video) with the rest of the camp coming and spreading out dancing and such
somewhere in here is the cafe with the bat scene (Sheila E A Love Bizarre) as a band in the background
all the ladies in the camp looking over Mary as Prince returns
