Initial tracking of the track (as Wendy's Parade) took place on 17 April 1985 at Sunset Sound, Hollywood, CA, USA, with Prince recording the drum track in sequence of Wendy's Parade, New Position, I Wonder U and Under The Cherry Moon, all in one take. He then layered other instruments over all four tracks.

Recording dates for the revised vocals of Christopher Tracy's Parade are not known, although it is likely these were recorded in Summer, 1985. Clare Fischer arranged and recorded orchestration for the song at some point in mid-late 1985 at Monterey Sound Studios, Glendale, CA, USA. Prince's father, John L. Nelson, receives co-writing credit, although his input is uncertain.

and "the man of them has been raised".

I, also, hear different lyrics on Old Friends 4 sale, too. Are there any official lyrics printed anywhere? I seem to remember there being some type of music book with his lyrics in them, but I could be wrong.

Just chalk it up to being a crazy Prince fan.

Also, this song, crazy drums, flute, horns and then Prince "Howh!" I love that shit!

Marie France is a graduate of fine arts from a Beaux Arts School and of liberal arts from the Sorbonne in Paris, France. She has been designing costumes for 27 years, and began her career collaborating with musician-composer Prince, designing his features "Purple Rain" and "Under the Cherry Moon", and his music videos.

I think the 2nd wind came starting early 2000s even Prince felt the wind in 2009/2010 when posting all those Parade images on the LotusFlow3r site
