Prince Handwritten Note & NPG Concert in April : Tour with Andre Cymone source
Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking.

Great news for music fans and a true testament to the legacy of Prince's music. P's crew knows his music better than anyone else and the fact they still want to play it together and deliver it to the fans really speaks volumes. Morris Hayes is a class act and let's hope the concerts and talk of new music continues healing the soul. For heights and depths no words can reach, music is the souls own speech! Long live the NPG got Prince?

Great little euphoric text by Prince! Must have been written shortly after NPGs debut performance at Glam Slam on Jan 6 1991. Just re-read the review of the performance in Uptowns The Vault. Must have been a great show... and seems like the authors had a tape of the performance, as the review is very detailed. I think the recording is not circulating, unfortunately? Would be really nice if somebody would dig that one out and share it
What's that tracklist at the top of page 1? I guess it means Something Funky/Willing And Able/Live 4 Love/The Flow - but I'm not really sure about the abbreviations for No 2 +3...

I hope I get to see them! I enjoyed all of their contributions at the official tribute. Briefly met Mr Hayes at the PRN family dance party after the tribute and he was the sweetest person, very gracious with all the fans in attendance. I already saw the Revolution last Sept so this I'm looking forward to. I hope for us local fans who aren't going to the PP celebration they give us another chance to see them here. I'm not very confident that's going to happen tho I'm so glad they reached out to Andre and that he accepted their invitation - feel the love! It's a hurtful place, the world, in and of itself. We don't need to add to it. We all need one another. ~ PRN

Nice, really looking forward to see them live! Anticipating more on these shows than the Revolution shows!

THis is a beautiful piece of writing ...
Prince basically glorifies his band and Rosie Gaines, talking them up to the point of saying that Rosie Gains upstages him (bless the darling man )
and then finishes with a shady little teaser of a marketing move thats so "Prince"
I miss him....

It feels extremely weird, but when they come to Holland I want to see them!!
Only the fact they are also thinking about making a new album..... I don't know . I'm not so excited about that one. If they would have asked me, I would have said "No". But hey, they didn't. [Edited 3/19/17 1:10am] Produced, Arranged, Composed & Performed by PRINCE

Yeah I am curious why he is not with the Revolution. Same goes with Dez who had making brief appearances with other bands. I have nothing against Andre being with NPG (that shows he doesn't believe in band identity and isoliation as he wanted to contribute to Prince his way). But I read awhile back when Andre did an interview with Star Tribute he didn't like the label 'guest' when Bobby Z contacted him to do the tribute shows at First Avenue.

dangerous has many meanings in the Paisley camp. All of them good.
That's what denise matthews wrote on prince's picture. It also makes me wonder why he said just when you thought you were safe. Twisted i think.

as much as I didn't want to believe any of this about P; seeing the New Power Generation has always been a hope of mine. After all, as the converted. ..we r the New Power Generation. It's Prince's legacy. And Eye 4 1 will B there.
Already bought tix. Seen P 14 times.... never with the old NPG. Eye regret not catching him with 3rdeyegirl, but I snobbishly didn't feel that they were on par with his groove. was waiting for P&M tour to come close but it didn't [Edited 3/20/17 7:26am] ♫"Trollin, Trolling! They'll be doing Osaka 3/29 and Tokyo 3/31-4/2. I picked up a tiny notice when I was in Japan over Christmas. Would love to see a show!! Style is the second cousin to class
