If this is all true with Coamerica, I feel for the family. This is a huge mess, that looks like it has no ending. 14 years? WTH?

Some of them might be dead by then

They all should make a will or trust right now because no one knows when their time will come.

I'm not too sure, but the half-siblings don't seem to have many heirs themselves, do they?

If some die without heirs, the other siblings get that share.

What do you make of it because Comerica does have a proposal to requesting that they not have to confer with the sibs when making decisions under 2 million. I think Sharon might be a little off but if Comerica has put in this proposal this is not a figment imagination.

That Sharon is a ball of fire. The memo seems to be more about why Comerica isn't distributing funds to the heirs, so there's that. I guess I can see why they aren't going to concide to family votes for every single decision, nothing would get done. They supposedly are to have bi-monthly(?) meetings with the non-excluded heirs for those who choose to show up which I can see being a problem since they all don't live in the same state, let alone same city. I can see where Comerica might stand at cutting off having to ask the heirs permission for every single money decision, especially given the value of the estate, 2 mill isn't THAT much, but then somebody is going to have to make sure the family keeps track of every meeting, on every memo and correspondence; make sure Comerica doesn't slip on keeping the family informed down the road and that's a big job tedious job that most people don't want to do.

-Well maybe one family member can show up for the meeting but they cannot just let deciding be made without any input or knowledge. I believe Sharon is tone deaf if she cannot understand why she thinks disbursements would come before the probate is finished.

That would have to be one consistant dutiful family member making sure everybody is informed, because if they slip then Comerica is going to slip, they'll be getting paid regardless.

You know Sharon got a career to get started, funds are needed. zipped

Notice that Tyka and Omarr are not objecting to the Comerica's proposal?

It could be the time to file a response has not ran its course or it could mean

they dont have an objection to the proposal.

I'm going to give it a minute, they may respond yet. If not, then I guess it's the younger sibs vs the older sibs. Given that the younger sibs actually had consistant contact with Prince...

The Motion to Quash Omarr's Subpoena to Londell has been scheduled for a hearing

on May 10, 2017.

I guess no one is in a hurry to settle that issue.

I guess not. Now I see how this can take years to resolve. Maybe by June or July it'll be wrapped up. *fingers crossed*

Look at how much money has been, is being and will be wasted trying to settle this estate, or at least get it in settle-able condition. IMO there is no way in you-know-what that Prince wanted his money to be used for this. To those people who say he set things up with the LLC, etc., etc.: it is a mess and it will continue to be a mess for a long time. Whether you have $5,000 or $500 million, put your affairs in order now so that something like this doesn't happen to what you have left behind.

Seems he had one for each wife. Both of which became void after each divorce. So I'm guessing since he had no wife or children to look after, he let the chips fall where they may. He left more than enough to build upon, with no major debts.

If the heirs want to give their money away over petty sqabbles then so be it. Thus far PP is protected, making its own money and his musically legacy stands; its just a matter of who reaps the financial benefits. I don't think its the disaeter some are trying to make it out to be and its not as smooth as it could be if there were a solid solitary heir he wanted to protect. He had his reasons.

Yea, you might be right about that. I think once things fell apart in the marriage department( and not having any heirs) long term estate and exectuive planning was never really a focus.I wonder why he never married someone who was already in the "church" after Mayte? From what I gather, or rather fromr what Dave said in the podcast, JW had their fingerprints all over the Mayte/Prince melee .I don't know the details .

I could guess the answer lies somewhere between control and tradition. Speculation here of course. I really think he would've done well with someone more" conservative". Overall, didn't he have a lot of conservative leaning thoughts ?
