1999 The New Master Who wrote the rap lyrics, Prince or Doug E ?? I didn't see a clear answer on Prince vault. I asked Prince what he was planning to do. He told me , I'm going to look for the ladder. I asked him what that meant. All he said was, sometimes it snows in April. - book D.M.S.R.

It's probably safe to assume the Doug E. Fresh did. He let Tony M., Eve & others write their own flow. Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking.

I'm not sure if it was on that EP or another Doug E./Prince collab but I think maybe the Keepsteppin' mix? Anyway, the line "The truth some people hear it some people fear it" is from the Dough E. Fresh track 'Spirit' on the 1989 Ghostbuster II OST, with the words "the truth" replacing the word "spirit".
