It's interesting to hear what Prince thought about Adam's performance of "Purple Rain" in 2014. "You're gettin' it", meaning he didn't fuck it up. That is high praise, because Prince is stingy (and rightly so) with his music and covers, etc. But I also think Prince always saw when folks were doing it from the heart and a place of joy and gratitude, opposed to "let's cover a Prince song to sell more records".

Yeah that Purple Rain cover was good. The Maroon 5 cover of Kiss though.... headlp

Good lord, I've not heard it, nor do I want to.

I do remember in the old days, Levine would take over on drums, and their then-drummer Ryan Dusick would take over vocals and lead guitar. They'd do an AC/DC cover of "Highway to Hell". It was a fun moment in the shows.

Thanks for the share. Very cool to hear Adams story and he absolutely was getting it with his PR cover...especially the guitar solo!

Adam is hot lol and he's truly a genuine fan of Prince which was heart warming. Howard needs to stfu tho and stop interrupting his guests ALL THE TIME!

heart that story. Last week on The Voice he told one of the contestants that the only other person who could do that type of run was - prince !
