How about chocolate-covered dried fruit, i. e., raisins? Cause "Mr. Goodnight" had "a mind full of good intentions and a mouth full of Raisinets."

I had this same thought yesterday when I considered this line from "Breakfast Can Wait": "Grits and gravy, cheese eggs and jam, can't nobody cook it like you girl."

Indeed, he did. On a side note, I wonder if P was really a grit-eater. I know his family has those Louisiana roots, so I'm pretty sure that he must have grown up around grits. And, I'm very pleased to know that he was sensible enough not to suggest grits w/ sugar. I'm just saying...

Now, jalapeno cheese grits, that's something else entirely.

I can't abide grits made sweet like porridge. Ew.
Gimme mine savory with either cheese, butter, a scrambled egg and possibly bacon or sausage mixed all together. Yum
I'll even settle for red-eye gravy in a "grits emergency".

Wow. The Glam Slam drinks were indeed fruity...and sweet. I wonder if they were garnished with little umbrellas? |

I actually thought the thread would be about a cover of him singing Tutti Frutti, the classic Little Richard song. Imagine that.
me too! I was watching some Little Richard interviews from the 80s and 90s and he was often asked what he thought of Prince. His reply was always when he sees Prince he sees a young Little Richard...He also said that before the movie about his life was made that Prince put up a few million and asked to make a movie about him but Little Richard went with someone else simply because Prince took to long to get started on the project.(would have loved to have seen Prince play the part of Little Richard!) I thought it great that a legend like him would admire Prince.
