There was no one better. Period.
His songs were usually ultra-compelling live. He had a STERLING live voice. He played world class guitar and piano. Also, he was a helluva dance too boot. Oh, and he was always visually interesting. Who could compete with all that?? Answer: No one. [Edited 3/7/17 12:54pm] | |

Not sure if this would be considered "upstaging" but he completely steals the show in the video of him performing with Sheryl Crow in Toronto. He looks amazing and brings such a natural swagger to that stage that it's easy forget she is there. He isn't trying to outshine her but it just can't be helped. I guarantee it's the first thing everyone who was attendance told their friends about later. [Edited 3/7/17 15:00pm] | |

Poor Beyonce...When I saw that performance..I couldnt even LOOK at HER..wihtout feeling very embarrassed for her....DOnt know how Prince did it becasue he was so cool about it...but he managed to make B, (who is a fantastic performer in her own right ),Look like a try hard.. | |
