For some reason... Sexy MF... So I put on the prince album again... It's even worse than I thought... Excellent band, excellent singer, excellent production... on totally rotten songwriting... The whole album is all attitude, no substance...

I would disagree about the songwriting. In my opinion, the songwriting on prince is uneven, and below average by Prince's standards, but not rotten. I love Sexy MF, but the lyrics are just ho hum, nothing special (the production is fantastic though.)

Because of those 4 songs, I think that the songwriting avoids being rotten, and instead is below average.
