Eavesdropping on Intimate Moments...

from you stash... what are you hearing, rediscovering, realizing from your vault of purple music?

I thought I lost all of my purple music some years ago to a crashed drive. Now everything restored and I just taking my time and going through everything

just listening 2 Eavesdropped In Intimate Moments

and there is a 7:55min piano medley from 1983

Strange Relationship

International Lover/Do Me Baby

Wednesday

I had the little snippett of Wednesday(What Will I Do?...) but somehow forgot this piano medley

In Paisley Park Nude Tour Rehearsal (90) Rosie can be heard humming parts and playing "My Tender Heart." It took me a while to realize, I had to search my brain because I kind of knew that song.

I really paid attention to the Organe Bowl rehearsal yesterday, I had only listened to it once without paying much attention.

It's pretty mindblowing. There's some serious jamming on there!!!! The estate could release it as such and you'd have a critically acclaimed record nod

The more I think of it the more I think the estate should create a digital only "rehearsal and soundchecks" series. There are thousands of hours of that in the vault and among them, probably hundreds of fascinating recordings such as this one.

Rehearsals are interesting. I like listening to how Prince interacts with the band. Like this from the Orange Bowl rehearsal:
Prince to Wendy. "Guitar solo! Want your last check fined? Not a 1966 solo either. Say it in the mic. "I'm weak. I cant solo in B-flat" come on! Say it the mic"!
And on Groove in A:
Prince: "On the one. Guitar and drums [no guitar] Guitars and drums [still no guitar]. Turn me up over there. Guitars and drums [irritated]. [Wendy comes in in the wrong key] [Prince laughs].On the one. You weren't listening. B! Weak. Weak. Say it in the mic. Say it! "I'm weak".
Wendy: No
Prince: Haha. say it so all Miami can hear it. You didn't know what cue it was in. Come on. Say it. It's cool. She can't even drink. She was all [makes a crashing sound]
The wooh is on the one!

It's highly unlikely that Prince would allowed such a thing to happen in his presence, let alone during a working session. It could just be someone having a cold, I know a lot of people used to take me for a coke addict because I have chronic rhinitis, so I wouldn't jump on any such conclusion lol

Baby I'm A Star - Blue Limousine

then the band goes into a groove that is just wonderful. And I wish Prince would have let it go further to allow what was happening flourish
