U realize Prince's entire career was essentially filmed/documented... Hey all I'm just watching the love 4 one another special. Prince recorded everything right? I mean we have hours of Prince footage that could potentially hbe be released for us to watch, yes? Makes me feel good. What things would you like to see released officially? "New Power slide...."

I would love to see any early Revolution rehearsal video... Maybe raw reehearsal video for the Purple Rain Tour or maybe earlier stuff like 1999 or Controversy?

More than we could ever watch in our lifetime

Good point it is incredible. Has literally anybody done this ever. I boggle at the amount of tape that must have been used. Too much for even a documentary crew to go through.

At least one concert from each tour. They have been showing a lot at Paisley Park lately. I'd love to have those shows. Pro shot concerts from Paisley Park like Diamonds and Pearls, The Beautiful Experience concert (unedited), Gold Experience rehearsal show, Lovesexy aftershow, and Piano And A Microphone concerts. Glam Slam Mpls concerts. Those would all be at the top of my list. TRUE BLUE

I have read (possibly here) that he had film crews flown in to make documentaries.

I read that too. Specifically for the Lovesexy afterparty/aftershow at Paisley Park. TRUE BLUE

I also love knowing there is so much we haven't seen...I'd eventually love to see a release of a pro-shot concert for every Tour he's done. More specifically, I would like to see live stuff/rehearsals from 1994-1995.

The October 2009 show at Paisley Park. I was there that night, it was amazing, and there is no unofficial recording that I'm aware of. That is my Holy Grail of shows. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

Most shows were recorded for personal use. That means one cam way back in the arena filming everything. Multi-angle recordings are less common. Still...you need way more and also better footage for a commercial release. Same for audio. Without proper audience footage and sound those releases would seem very dull/lifeless.

Sadly no video footage is in circulation my friend. Maybe one day.

I would love for multiple shows of each tour to be released on DVD and audio and multiple performances of each song--video and audio--being able to be purchased individually as a download. Not only do I have video of all of the tours, but I mix and match my favorite moments and performances from various shows of the same tour. So even if I have three or four shows from one tour, I find that each individual show has its own nugget or gem that the other shows don't have. Thus, I finally spliced/edited together individual moments of different shows from the same tour as my master tape for each tour. That's why I'd love for multiple shows of each tour to be released on DVD and audio and also have multiple performances of each song for those shows available as downloads. Then, just like I would be able to download an audio/MP3 of the "Musicology" performance from a specific show of the tour for .99 or $1.25, I would love to be able to download a video of the "Musicology" performance from a specific show of the tour as well for .99 or $1.25. I may be easy to please, but that would be heaven!

If they need to edit it down for release, I hope they don't hesitate to cut Larry's stint out. I remember Prince saying if you're not cool with him, then you're not cool with us. I don't remember seeing cameras that night, but no doubt they recorded the audio. That was a good show, almost 3 hours AND he started on time. TRUE BLUE

I'd settle for audio. I live and hope. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

That guitar vs. bass section between Larry and Prince was pure gold. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

I am an absolute junkie for any of the aftershows. They are always more like just hanging out with him and the band rather than a "show" (and not dissing those either). The 1988 aftershows would be my #1 request. God is my Sugar Daddy.
