soladeo1	When was the last time Prince played on stage shirtless?? I'm asking for a friend. Just kidding. Prince was always a thin/lean dude. Weird that he didn't play shirtless at one time unlike someone like Iggy Pop...do you think this corresponded with his increased religiosity??

RodeoSchro	I don't know when, but I do know this: Playing shirtless is freaking AWESOME. I've done it a couple times recently and now I understand the genius of Iggy Pop!

Was that in 2011 or so? There was some show he had on a black or red shirt (I think) and it was unbuttoned all the way. Plenty of him flashed the audience. There was another show when he had a red & black colored blocked outfit on with no shirt underneath. He whipped it open at one point and flashed his chest and abs.

As far as being fully shirtless? Hmmmm.

He took it off one time on the 2011 tour, don't remember the specifics but I remember a vid on YouTube of him dancing and taking it off.

FlyOnTheWall	On September 25, 2012, during Welcome2Chicago, he wore a black and white suit with a black shirt that was unbuttoned part of the time, showing his bare chest. He also wore a headband. A few other photos are posted from that night on my thread, A Photographic Record ~ Prince and Andy Allo ~ 2011-2016. There must have been a collective clutching of pearls that night. Hmmm, I forget if that's the specific one I'm thinking of, but quite possibly the same tour. Ol' boy kept his fit on. But he was sorta naturally thin anyway. He never did have a puffy or fat period like other artists tend to. I think he grew into his face more around 1989 or 1990. It can happen at any age to someone. Even Tina Turner said she grew into her face after Private Dancer and she was more comfortable with herself. I think Prince mentioned once how his face trimmed down more once he stopped eating meat or drinking milk.

the last time I remember he went really shirtless was 1998 ... café de paris in london ... maybe it wasn't what the OP meant with "performing shirtless" ... but it actually WAS a performance razz ... he jumped into the crowd, got back on stage and put his shirt off ... and then he did it again and again ... jumped shirtless into the crowd and they touched him ...well ... everywhere lol ... damn I wasn't there ...

Yeah didn't he pretty much stop wearing button down shirts in 2013? I can't remember him every wearing them with 3EG.

There's a quote out there ( Not sure what year) where Prince says something along the lines of ' I'm such and such age now and nobody wants to see my wrinkly old skin.' Maybe someone on here knows where to find it and what year he said it. Anyway, I'm guessing this was his reason for keeping his cloths on , not religion.

dreamer5	He played one time right after he and he and mayte broke up in the smaller npg room in the dark with his shirt off. It was the most amazing show with raw emotion pouring out.
