Sinead O’Connor apologized to comedian Arsenio Hall on Wednesday for claiming he gave Prince drugs and insinuating that had something to do with the music legend’s death.

The singer, 50, retracted her claims and apologized in a statement, writing, “I apologize for my Facebook posts about Arsenio Hall to the extent that anyone thought I was accusing him of acting as Prince’s drug dealer and supplying him with illegal hard drugs, or insinuating that Arsenio had something to do with Prince’s death.”

“I sincerely apologize because those statements would be false, and I retract them unequivocally,” she continued.

Following Prince’s death, O’Connor posted a series of contro...llegations on Facebook claiming Hall, 61, had supplied Prince with drugs over the years.

Hall was quick to deny O’Connor’s claims at the time and filed a $5 million libel lawsuit against her.

Hall’s lawyers will be dismissing the lawsuit in light of O’Connor’s apology.

I'm glad she did that. I hope it means she's doing better and on the road to recovery.

It sure took her so long to retract her statements, she offer an apology to Prince's family as well.

Well I guess this solves the matter of her other accusations. Had Prince cared to sue her for 2M she'd have retracted as well You know what to do if Mrs. O'Connor ever bitches about you

SHe got sued, issued a retraction, lawsuit dropped, nothing surprising about that. Arsenio Hall's lawyers most likely dictated the wording of the retraction.

Honey, people haven't in a long while. lol It's not because she's a big mouth, it's that she's unstable mentally. That's not a scarlet letter, but it's a flag when she starts spouting off ridiculous statements. She's left her home, locked herself in a hotel room and threatened suicide repeatedly. She does have some sort of imbalance, and when left untreated it reeks havoc on those close to her, and to herself.

I never believed her statement about Arsenio. Not that I didn't believe Prince used drugs - just that how the hell would she know anything like that about either of them? What, was she at Paisley Park one night and Arsenio flew in from L.A. with a Ziploc full of little reds, whites, and blues?

HA!!! I said it at the time that she was a lying psycho and I was RIGHT!!!!

It took a while for her meds to work Total Nut Case...

I agree with this. She came with her BS about a week after his death. Prince has family and friends that love him just like anybody else.
