The Post-Batman Album That Could've Been (Dream Configuration) I'm a sucker for "what could've been" scenarios with my favorite artists and lost albums, and Prince recorded so much material (or designated older tracks for near-release) following Lovesexy that it saddens me that the result of all that work that we got was a Batman soundtrack and the spotty Graffiti Bridge. I took upon myself to craft a classic "double album" (indulgent, lots of variety but still holds together, both poppy and experimental) combining material from the late '80s, believing something like this would've really put him back in favor critically if not necessarily commercially. I did grant myself a few liberties since several tracks were clearly intended for other artists, but what I came up with is something of an unrealistic ideal Prince album.
1. Rave Unto The Joy Fantastic 2. Elephants & Flowers 3. The Grand Progression 4. The Voice Inside 5. Feel U Up 6. The Question of U 7. We Can Funk 8. American in Paris 9. God is Alive 10. By Alien Means 11. We Got The Power 12. The Dopamine Rush 13. Electric Chair 14. Good Judy Girlfriend 15. Pink Cashmere 16. If I Had a Harem 17. If I Love U 2Nite 18. Moonbeam Levels 19. Joy In Repetition 20. Still Would Stand All Time 21. I Love U in Me
What do y'all think?

I know there are other threads, but tracklist threads are endless fun.
I tried compiling my list with cohesion and P's personal preference for tracklist in mind. I think that if he were to squeeze in one more 1989 album after Batman, it would be a fusion of Rave and Graffiti Bridge, a sort of colorful, soft-toned rock-pop record, but Moonbeam Levels still wouldn't be on it because fate is unkind.
Prince: Rave Unto the Joy Fantastic (Hypothetical December 1989 release).
